One of my favorite past-times has been riding my bike along Main Street in Santa Monica. Along my route is the Santa Monica Civic Center.  A few weeks ago I couldn’t help but notice the flashing “Vintage Fashion Expo May 5-6th”.  My super sweet husband agreed to go check it out with me yesterday.  

I didn’t find anything take home worthy, but it was so cool to see all of the era’s of clothing and to imagine the stories each piece could tell. My favorite was a vintage black Chanel purse. Oh, and all of the cowgirl boots too.  Hope everyone had a happy Monday!

Weekend Shenanigans! 

Inspiration for Engagement shoot.

This is the note I got today from my husband and I thought- hmm, what better than to blog about love on Valentine’s Day, very apropos- I know.  Love has become so much more to me the last couple of years or so.  I have not only found my true love, but have also found out what love isn’t.  

Love when you’re younger is that funny feeling you get in your stomach when you see that person you are infatuated with. It’s talking on the phone until all hours of the night and making big plans for your future, and lives together.  It is experiencing firsts and growing up together. 

Now, Love is so much more.  It’s about building a real life together.  Going through hardships, friendships, loss, grieving, rejections, let downs, pain and everything else that doesn’t make up a fairytale.  It’s making it through the impossible with one another and coming out stronger, and even more in love through it all.  Love is finding that unfailing, unconditional love that is always there for you, even when you (just so happen to be) not perfect after all.
